COVID-19 prevented the Cherokee Village Fire Department from hosting its annual July 4 Pancake Breakfast this year. Out of an abundance of caution, the long-standing tradition was canceled, leaving the department without its largest annual fundraiser.

FNBC donated $3,000 to the department recently to help cover some of the lost contributions. Additionally, they donated almost 100 cases of water.

Funds raised at the Pancake Breakfast are used for department upkeep, such as building maintenance, and new equipment purchases or replacements.

Anyone who wants to donate can send a check to the Cherokee Village Fire Department at 1 Baseheart Drive, Cherokee Village, AR 72529.
