FNBC Bank has gifted the Highland School District $10,000 to fund the Saluting Our Achieving Rebels (SOAR) program in 2017. The SOAR program recognizes students each quarter who either have all As & Bs and/or perfect attendance, or have shown grit.

“We are very fortunate at Highland Schools to have partners like FNBC,” said Highland Superintendent Don Sharp. “Their generosity and support enables us to recognize the outstanding achievement of our hard-working students.”

FNBC has been sponsoring the SOAR program since its introduction in Fall 2015. Since that time, students have received Tshirts, hats, power chargers, and have gone on field trips as part of their recognition.

“Contributing these funds to the SOAR program aligns perfectly with FNBC’s commitment to empowering our communities,” said FNBC CEO & President Marty Sellars. “We know that a quality education can drastically change the trajectory of one’s life, and are lucky to have such a great school in our area. These students have worked hard, and we are proud to play a part in their recognition.”
