Molly Carpenter (right), FNBC Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations, and Donald Britnell (left), FNBC Sharp County Community President, recently presented Jack Lowe (center), Thunder on Thunderbird organizer, with a $7,500 sponsorship check. This year’s event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 4 starting at 7 p.m. at the Lake Thunderbird Dam in Cherokee Village.

“The firework display on Lake Thunderbird is one of our area’s great traditions,” said Carpenter. “FNBC is proud to be a part of our community’s annual celebration, and we look forward to another incredible show.”

Thunder on Thunderbird is one of Arkansas’ largest Fourth of July firework shows. It will be preceded by the annual patriotic boat parade around Lake Thunderbird starting at 7 p.m., and then a helicopter air show at 8 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

The community is invited to attend and bring lawn chairs and blankets. The River 98.3 will be broadcasting patriotic music to go with the fireworks.
