Is FNBC closed?

Our bank is open for business, but we have altered our operations to protect the safety of our staff and our customers. For example, we have closed our lobby functions until we have determined it is safe to resume normal operations. We will be adhering to the latest public health guidance in making that determination. In the meantime, our drive-thrus remain open ourregular business hours Monday through Saturday. We also encourage you to use our Online and Mobile Bankingabout Mobile Banking app platforms where you can do most transactions, such as check account balances, transfer funds, pay bills and even deposit checks. Access to our lobby is by appointment only. For the most up to date information, please check our website and follow us on Facebook.

Are my bank deposits still secure?

Absolutely. The deposits you have with FNBC Bank are fully protected with FDIC insurance. In fact, this past week the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the independent agency that insures bank deposits, issued a statement reminding Americans that FDIC-insured banks remain “the safest place to keep their money.”

FNBC Bank’s regulatory bodies, the Arkansas State Banking Department and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, regularly examines the bank to make sure we have detailed, tested disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans.

How does FDIC insurance work?

With FDIC insurance, your accounts are protected for up to $250,000 for each depositor and ownership category (joint account, etc.).

Is my money still insured even though branches have limited service?

Yes! For health and safety reasons, many banks, including FNBC Bank, have had to temporarily limit branch operations. Though you may not be able to walk into our lobbies right now, you continue to receive the same deposit protection.

Plus, as an FNBC customer, you’ll have access to your funds when you need them. In addition to drive-thrus and ATM services, we offer the convenience of managing your money with Online Banking and Mobile Bankingabout Mobile Banking app. Our Mobile Banking app even allows you to deposit checks!

Will there be enough cash during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Rest assured that the Federal Reserve System has sufficient resources to be able to handle the currency needs of bank depositors.

What types of accounts are not protected by FDIC insurance?

FDIC insurance protects all types and classes of deposit accounts, including savings and checking accounts, certificates of deposits (CDs), money market deposit accounts and IRAs.

It does NOT cover mutual funds, stocks, bonds, annuities or investments that are not deposit accounts.

Are the contents of my safe deposit box insured?

Items kept in your safe deposit box are not insured by FNBC Bank or the FDIC. You are responsible for insuring the contents of the safe deposit box, for example through your homeowner’s policy.

Where can I get more information about deposit insurance?

The FDIC has a team of experts available to answer your questions. You can call 1-877-ASK-FDIC (Phone number:1-877-275-3342) to ask to speak with a Deposit Insurance Subject Matter Expert. You can also visit the FDIC’s website to learn more. One tool available on the site is the Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE), which allows you to determine the protection you have.

I’ve heard about the possibility of loan forbearance. Does that mean my loan will be forgiven?

No. Under forbearance, your loan payments are postponed (or reduced) but interest continues to accrue during the period of forbearance.

Does FNBC have any grants available for business customers?

No, FNBC does not provide grants for our business customers. A grant is money that is given without expectation of repayment.

What if I am unable to make payments because I have personally been affected or my business has been affected by COVID-19?

The best thing to do is to contact your lender directly to discuss your options.

How will I make my loan payments?

Loan payments may be made online through our Online and Mobile Bankingabout Mobile Banking app platforms.

You may also enroll in automatic payment drafts from your FNBC checking account. If you are already enrolled, your payment will be processed on its regularly scheduled date.

You may make payments through the drive-thru just as you would in the lobby.
